Working Near Overhead Power Lines
Contact with overhead power lines is frequently fatal. Maintain a minimum distance of 10 feet from all power lines. Never assume power lines are insulated or de-energized. Use a spotter when operating equipment near power lines. Lower all equipment before moving near power lines. Contact the utility company to de-energize lines before working nearby.
